Join SmartAvatar as a Flutter Developer Intern to build, test, and improve cross-platform mobile applications for Android and iOS. As a Flutter Developer Intern, you will contribute to the development and improvement of SmartAvatar’s mobile applications using Flutter and Dart. Working alongside experienced engineers and designers, you will help build reliable, responsive, and user-friendly applications for Android and iOS.
You will gain hands-on experience with production application development, including user interface implementation, API integration, authentication, databases, state management, testing, and performance optimisation. This internship offers an opportunity to contribute to real product features while developing your mobile engineering skills in a collaborative environment.
02 / Your contribution
What you will own
- Mobile Application Development: Develop and improve application features using Flutter and Dart.
- UI Implementation: Build responsive, reusable, and maintainable user interfaces based on design specifications.
- API & Service Integration: Integrate REST APIs, Firebase services, authentication, and third-party services.
- Application Architecture: Work with state management solutions and structured software architecture.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with backend developers and designers to deliver complete product features.
- Testing & Debugging: Identify and resolve issues, write tests, and improve application performance and reliability.
- Code Reviews & Teamwork: Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team meetings.
- Technical Documentation: Document implementation details and contribute to continuous product improvement.
03 / Your experience
What you bring
The experience and capabilities we are looking for.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's programme in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of Flutter and Dart.
- Understanding of Flutter widgets, layouts, navigation, and responsive UI development.
- Basic knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, Git, and asynchronous programming.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming and fundamental software engineering concepts.
- Willingness to learn, solve problems independently, and incorporate feedback.
- Good communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
Useful additional experience
These skills are welcome, but are not essential requirements.
- Experience with Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, or Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- Familiarity with state management solutions such as Riverpod, Provider, or GetX.
- Understanding of clean architecture and reusable code practices.
- Experience using GitHub, Figma, or collaborative software development workflows.
- Personal projects, university projects, or published applications that demonstrate mobile development skills.
