Build backend services and integration adapters that connect SmartAvatar components with federated platforms, partner systems, Digital Twins and user-facing applications. Develop reliable APIs, distributed backend services and well-documented integrations in collaboration with architecture, product, DevOps, security and QA teams.
You will build the backend services and integration adapters that connect SmartAvatar components to federated platforms, partner systems, Digital Twins and user-facing applications. Your goal is to create SmartAvatar systems that communicate cleanly and reliably with external platforms through tested, well-documented interfaces. You will work closely with our architecture leads, product engineers, DevOps, security and QA colleagues to make integrations reliable, maintainable and ready for real-world deployment. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Gazipur, Bangladesh. We are looking for an experienced backend engineer who is comfortable working across APIs, distributed systems, service integration and platform interoperability.
02 / Your contribution
What you will own
- Develop REST and event-driven APIs, partner adapters and backend services
- Implement clear and maintainable service contracts using OpenAPI and JSON Schema
- Support resource brokering, orchestration and experiment workflows
- Design backend systems for retries, failures, asynchronous jobs and distributed state
- Integrate authentication and authorisation into backend services
- Support SDKs and reference clients where needed
- Build reliable integrations between SmartAvatar components and partner or external platforms
- Collaborate with architecture, product engineering, DevOps, security and QA teams
- Contribute to testing, documentation and long-term maintainability of backend integrations
03 / Your experience
What you bring
The experience and capabilities we are looking for.
- Around 5 years or more of backend engineering experience
- Strong skills in Python, Java, Go, C# or TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and OpenAPI
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
- Experience with Docker and Git
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems
- Understanding of authentication and authorisation concepts
- Ability to design and maintain reliable backend integrations
- Good written and spoken English
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Useful additional experience
These skills are welcome, but are not essential requirements.
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, AMQP, gRPC or Kubernetes
- Experience integrating with partner or third-party platforms
- Experience with event-driven architectures
- Familiarity with cloud-native backend systems
- Experience working with distributed or federated platforms
- Experience creating or maintaining SDKs and reference clients
